SLEEPAWAY CAMP (1983)

…Like this one. Man, this is nuts. It’s still a mystery-type slasher set at a camp, but it doesn’t cheat, and it’s really, really messed up. For one thing, there’s actual kids in this. Most of these movies have like 30-year-olds playing high school kids, but having actual kids around makes this a ton more effective. Nobody wants to see kids get hurt! But they do. And it’s all creepy as hell. I don’t want to say too much here, because there’s really only one reason to see this, and it’s the ending. It’s one of the most out-there endings I have ever seen in my life. I literally sat there with my mouth hanging open for like ten minutes. Wow. I don’t really like slasher movies that much (I like monsters a lot more), but this one is something completely else.
