NIGHT GALLERY (TV series, 1970-1973)
Okay, my dad got all excited when this came out on DVD, because he’d seen it in reruns when he was a kid, and he figured I’d like it. Good call, Dad! This show rocks. It’s like the anthology movies I mentioned earlier (HOUSE THAT DRIPPED BLOOD, etc.), in that there are short stories inside each episode. It’s kind of hit-or-miss, and not all the stories are all that great, but overall it’s a lot of fun. Rod Serling is a great host (just like on THE TWILIGHT ZONE), and it makes for some great Halloween viewing.
